Apenyo and Chakobi on the night they were rescued in August. Apenyo (on the left) had been in slavery since he was 3 years old.
This is one of the youngest boys I saw out on the lake. He spends all day scooping water out of the leaking boat.
Tomas is one of the kids they tried to rescue in August. Unfortunately, his owner has been difficult to work with.
The look on this young boy’s face says it all. A life like this is really no life at all.

These 4 young boys all work together every day. The one on the end wouldn’t stop working even as we took pictures and shared candy with them.
