Leaders, Friends, and Helpers

Our US team recently had the special opportunity to meet with 6 children who have been in the Mercy Project program for a number of years. Most of these children have already exceeded the education level of their parents and grandparents; some of them are the first in their families to attend school beyond an elementary level. They are leaders among their peers, good friends to their schoolmates, and helpers in their families.

We interviewed each one and asked them to share their hopes for the future, about people in their life who have helped them succeed, and their memories of freedom. It was our great privilege to hear directly from Prosper, Grace, Nice, Clifford, Philip, and Comfort. We want to elevate their voices and their stories and cheer them on toward great things.

This series is called Voices of Freedom. We hope you’ll get to know these 6 incredible young men and women. They are the very best future of Ghana. Click on each child’s photo below to read his/her interview.
